Design Duo Brings Timeless Elegance to The Perry Hotel Naples
NAPLES, Fla. — The Perry Hotel Naples, one of the newest and most talked-about hotels in Naples, Florida, is making waves not only for its luxury hospitality but also for its breathtaking design. The creative vision behind the hotel comes from South Florida-based design partners Cesar Conde and Ricardo Velasquez, founders of Casa Conde, whose refined and soulful approach to interior design has redefined the meaning of modern coastal luxury.

A Vision of Style and Storytelling
When guests enter The Perry Hotel Naples, they immediately sense the artistry and attention to detail that sets it apart among the best hotels in Naples, Florida. Every space — from the airy lobby overlooking the Cocohatchee River to the rooftop bar and restaurant — reflects Casa Conde’s philosophy that great design tells a story.
“Design has to have meaning and authenticity, not just look pretty,” says Velasquez. “We take into consideration the location, the brand, and the people who will experience it.”
From Key West Roots to Naples Sophistication
Conde and Velasquez first brought their creative energy to life with the original Perry project in Key West, known for its sleek, nautical-inspired style. For the Naples property, they evolved that DNA into something softer and more tropical — blending the energy of the Gulf Coast with timeless design elements.
“We brought the original seed of Key West and mixed it with local elements,” Conde explains. “The Cocohatchee River, the mangroves, and the lush West Coast landscape all influenced the color palette and textures.”
The result is a space that feels both contemporary and classic — an atmosphere that celebrates Naples’ coastal charm while setting a new standard for luxury boutique hotels in Southwest Florida.

Craftsmanship and Collaboration
The Perry Hotel Naples was designed in close collaboration with architect Gavin Scarborough Thomas E. Pope, PA and contractor Steven Geath, ensuring every detail — from custom lighting to locally sourced furniture — aligned with Casa Conde’s vision of quality and craftsmanship. One of the most intricate challenges was the rooftop design, which required balancing sweeping sunset views with the structural and mechanical demands of a working rooftop bar, pool, and lounge. The result? A seamless experience where every sunset becomes a show and every cocktail feels like part of the design.
Many of the hotel’s standout pieces — such as handcrafted side tables, signature flamingo chairs, and custom wardrobes — were either produced locally or crafted in Guatemala through Casa Conde’s furniture company, Labrica.
A Legacy of Timeless Design
Casa Conde’s design philosophy is rooted in longevity. “We try to create spaces that aren’t trendy but have a timeless quality,” Conde notes. “Something that feels fresh today and still elegant decades from now.”
That dedication to craftsmanship and authenticity makes The Perry Hotel Naples not just a place to stay, but a destination — one that stands proudly among Naples’ best new hotels and continues to attract travelers seeking something extraordinary.

Looking Ahead
As Casa Conde continues to expand with projects across the U.S., including in Michigan, Arizona, and St. Louis, their work at The Perry Hotel Naples remains a shining example of their artistry and dedication.
“The story behind every piece is what makes the design come alive,” Conde says. “That’s what we want guests to experience when they walk through our spaces.”
At The Perry Hotel Naples, that story unfolds from the lobby to the rooftop — a celebration of design, culture, and the art of hospitality.
